Graveside services for Mr. Hugh Youmans will be held at 11:30 a.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Medina, TN on Saturday, June 28, 2025 with Mr. Steve McFarland officiating. Visitation with the family will take place in the Replogle~Lawrence Funeral Home chapel from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. prior.
Mr. Youmans, age 84, passed away after a long illness at NHC Milan on Monday, June 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Hugh was born in Gibson County, TN to the late Brady W. Youmans and Jennie Lou Palford Youmans. He graduated Humboldt High School “Class of 1959” and married Rhetta June Hardwick the same year. Hugh served in the Tennessee Army National Guard before becoming a businessman. He was a real estate agent for over 30 years, owned a car dealership in Memphis, TN, was a bricklayer, and owned a housing construction business for many years.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tommy G. Youmans; brother, Lynn Youmans.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rhetta Youmans; son, Michael D. Youmans (Tyrina); brothers, Wesley Youmans (Marlyn), Terry Youmans (Joyce); sisters, Sandra Vasquez (Bobby), Bonita Youmans; grandchildren, Josh Youmans, Logan Youmans, Tyler Youmans; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
