Hunter Lee Akers, 23, of Little Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Hunter attended Mid-Carolina High School and had an incredible ability to light up any room he entered. Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, he brought laughter and joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Hunter had an unwavering love for his family and friends. He found happiness in the company of animals, on the basketball court, and through his deep appreciation for music and dressing in style.
Hunter is survived by his mother, Kiea Behling; siblings, Haley Whitman (Taylor), Harlee Behling, and Hayz Knight; uncle, Nathan Newman (Debbie); and cousins, Storm Layfield Fisher (Alexis), Chance Layfield Fisher, Stone Newman, Rain Newman, and Lake Newman. He is also survived by his great aunts, uncles, and numerous other beloved family members. Hunter was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rhonda Thomas (Cedric), and his grandfather, Charles Knight.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Hunter’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 5th, from 3:00 until 4:30 P.M. at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
