A young man from Miaoli crossed continents many years ago with his children and wife. He loved classical music, mystery novels, stocks, and great art. His children now gently hold his hand before he crosses from this world to a new life.
A trailblazer in mathematics and in migration, he bravely overcame struggles and strife. He loved dearly the mother of his children Jane (Ching) who left this world early. Years later he married Daisy who also had passed. In his later years he spent happy days with Gerlinde. He loved with all his heart. A young man from Miaoli crossed continents many years ago with his children and wife.
Feili, Wendy, Mary, Charles, and Diana were his dear children, his whole life, A father, grandfather, and husband, he was beloved by those he kept close to his heart. A young man from Miaoli crossed continents many years ago with his children and wife.
His grandchildren remember him making pancakes in Detroit, him driving on the highway from Montville to Manhattan, his love of paintings and still-lifes, his gift to them of his books on Vector Analysis (deeply serious and smart). His children now gently hold his hand before he crosses from this world to a new life.
He journeyed in the midcentury, from Miaoli to Ohio to Windsor to Detroit, to build a new life. Decades later, after the millenium, he repeated that journey solo to reflect on life-as-art. His children now gently hold his hand before he crosses from this world to a new life.
The birds fly over Audubon on this spring day, as the sun sets to brilliant hues over Shannondell's slice-of-life. Dad, Hwei, Gung Gung! 'Do not go gentle into that good night,' as so many have before him, entering a deep, peaceful sleep before they depart.
