Ian MacAgy, of Fresno, California, died on Monday, May 5, 2025 at home after a year and a half long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in New York City on February 1, 1956 to Elizabeth (Betty) and Douglas MacAgy, Ian was an exceptional doctor, husband, father, brother and friend. He received his MD at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia in May 1991, and chose obstetrics and gynecology as his specialty. He recently shared that he was honored to have had the opportunity to care for so many patients. He also loved teaching residents and medical students and found those years to be among the happiest of his career.
Ian was also a musician and a lover of all music, especially jazz, an art lover, and a dedicated Christian who truly loved the Lord and lived his life studying and putting God's words into action. He was smart, funny, silly, kind and generous and loved his family with all his heart. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed.
Ian is survived by his wife, Kymberly, his daughters, Rachel, Emily and Brianna, his sister Caitlin and her husband Dirk Sprogoe, his mother in law and father in law Darlene and Richard Tittle, and many more dear friends and family.
The Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on June 5th, 2025 at St. James Episcopal Church, Fresno, California.
