Ian Richard Marklowitz, 38, passed away on December 17, 2025, following medical complications. Ian was born on November 10, 1987, to Margaret and Don Marklowitz. He attended CFC Schools and later studied Parks and Recreation Management at Winona State University. Until his illness, Ian worked as a landscaper and took pride in working outdoors. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his daughter, Rayne, and in recent months, caring for a puppy he dearly loved. Ian is survived by his mother, Margaret Marklowitz; his daughter, Rayne; and his brothers, Colin (Ashley), Tristan (Mai Nou), and Garrett Marklowitz. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Marklowitz, Jr; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandfather, Richard G. Pearson. A memorial service will be held January 10 at First Congregational Church of Winona, with visitation at 1:00 p.m and service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to a charity meaningful to Ian or to a fund established for Rayne’s future education.
