Ida Chittester

Ida Frances (Crate) Chittester, 87 of Brooklyn Park, MN passed away peacefully on 12-15-25, at her home

Ida was ever a lover of Jesus Christ and devoted her life to serving Him. Everyone that knew her was refreshed and benefited from her spirit and the Spirit of God in her.

After a long health battle, she now has a new body and doesn't have to deal with health issues anymore. We look forward to seeing her again soon.

Ida was born on 11/5/1938, in Kane, PA to William and Myrtle(Shepler) Crate.

Ida loved the Lord and had a passion and was gifted in teaching children the bible. She especially loved to prepare children's bibles for the kids and have them read with her. In addition, she loved to praise and worship God in music and singing. She was an accomplished pianist and accordion player.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Josph Chittester, a son (Walter Chittester), and a daughter (Jane Chittester).

She is survived by sons Mike, Dave, Wayne, John, Tom and Pat. She is also survived by a daughter Frances.

A funeral service will be held for Ida at Divine Love Christian Fellowship in Champlin MN on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

A private burial will be held in Brookville PA at a later date.

The family wishes to thank her care giver Judy who lived with her and provided exemplary care. Judy was anointed by God and gifted accordingly to care for Ida.
