Ida Elizabeth Henning, age 90 of Janesville, Wis., passed away on October 22, 2025, at Rock Haven. Ida was born in Necedah, Wis., on July 10, 1935, one of 15 children of William and Sylvia (Burlingham) O’Dell.
Ida was formerly employed as a production worker by Hough Shade Company and Sprackling Products, Janesville. She moved to the State of Washington and was employed by a company that manufactured radios. In 1982, Ida returned to Janesville where she was employed by Rock Haven and the Rock County Health Care Center. Prior to retiring, she did live in care in private homes until she retired.
Ida Henning is survived by six children: Clayton Drought, Daniel Drought, Thomas “Tommy” Henning, Tammy Kincaid, Timothy Henning, and Mark Henning; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim O’Dell and Harold O’Dell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Per Ida’s request, no services will be held. Private interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, take an elderly person out to eat in Ida’s memory.
