Ida Mace

Ida Mace, 87, of Country Club, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in St. Joseph. She was born July 7, 1938 in Pagosa Springs, CO, daughter of the late Charlota Herrera and Anastacio Duran. She worked at ADCO as a line worker. Ida took care of any and everyone that needed help. She was a bingo lover and casino socializer, who never knew a stranger. But most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Joseph Herrera, husband, Jesse Carl Mace, sisters, Pauline Esis Costello, Mary Barron, and Josie Smith, and granddaughter, Autumn Nordin. Survivors include: daughters, Carla Ashworth of St. Joseph, MO, and Ramona (Russell) Middelton of St. Joseph, MO, sons, Jesse Mace, III of St. Joseph, MO, and Tony (Tracy) Mace of St. Joseph, MO, great-grandson, Jacoby Bly, raised by Ida, sister, Bernice Keifer, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, with one on the way.
Mrs. Mace has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. There will be a Graveside Funeral Service at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolences and obituary at www.ruppfuneral.com.
