Ida Dickens Walker, 79, of Quincy, Florida, peacefully departed this earthly life on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Mrs. Walker was born on January 4, 1947, in Quincy, Florida, where she spent much of her life and remained deeply connected to her community. She was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, where she faithfully worshipped and maintained strong ties with her church family.Ida dedicated many years of service to the Florida Parole Commission, where she worked as a Staff Assistant until her retirement. Through her work and her life, she was known for her dedication, kindness, and steady presence. She valued family above all else and found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Troy Walker (Cynthia) of Quincy, Florida; Johnny Walker Jr. (Ida) of Tallahassee, Florida; and Tracy Walker Mabry of Stone Mountain, Georgia. She is also survived by her sisters: Gloria Bouie of Gretna, Florida, and Jackie Kinsey of Tampa, Florida. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Anthony Hill (Cherisse) of Orlando, Florida; Treveon Walker of Los Angeles, California; Justin Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; Toyanna Walker of Jacksonville, Florida; Denisha Keaton (Kadraeus) of Tallahassee, Florida; Armoni Farmer of Quincy, Florida; Alexis Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; bonus grandchildren: Kenneth Jackson (Shynetra) of Orlando, Florida; and Shatoya Clayton (Allen) of Quincy, Florida, along with 12 great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Mrs. Walker was blessed with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026 at 3pm - 6pm at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, Florida.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Everybody's Church in Midway, Florida. Interment will follow at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.
