He loved working on his yard, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his wife and family. You could often find him helping others in need-whether it was fixing a leaky faucet or completely renovating a house. Ignacio truly believed in loving others as Christ has loved us, and he lived that message every day.
A man of deep faith and humble strength, Ignacio devoted countless hours to serving his church community. Always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, or build something beautiful, he gave of himself freely and joyfully. A devoted Catholic, he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for over 20 years and cherished the fellowship he shared with his brothers at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Ignacio was preceded in death by his father, Ignacio R. Valles Sr.; his mother, Dominga Rodriguez Valles; his brothers, Max Valles and Fidel Valles; and his sister, Virginia Valles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Valles; daughters Vanessa Valles (Clemente), Beverly Mohedano (Oscar), and Sarah Elizondo (Isaac); and stepchildren Trinidad Olvera, Valerie Garza, Cassandra Perez (Gabriel), and Priscilla Rodriguez (Joel).
He was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy, as well as several nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own. Ignacio is also survived by his sisters Oralia, Linda, and Ofelia.
Ignacio's legacy of faith, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Services are as follows:
Wednesday - October 22, 2025 - Visitation 5pm - 8:30pm, will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 4603 St. John's Way, San Antonio, TX 78212, with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm.
Thursday - October 23, 2025 - Visitation will be held at Texas Funeral Home 7:30am - 8:15am, Departure from funeral home at 8:20am.
9am - Catholic mass - St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church
10:30am - Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 726 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
*** Services will be led by police procession ***
