Ila Jean Fullington

Ila Jean Fullington, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Ila was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Murl Fullington; her two sons, Phillip and David Fullington; and her grandson, Austin Fratesi.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Mynatt; granddaughters Sydney Charlot (Vernon) and Conner Mynatt; grandson Jeff Ferrell (Jennifer); and five great-grandchildren-Tripp, Mavis, and Eleanor Charlot, and Blake and Nick Ferrell. She also leaves behind her sister, Phyllis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
To those closest to her, Ila was-first and foremost-Mammaw.She spent her early life traveling the world with her husband during his military service, living in places as far-flung as Germany and California, and even sailing across the Atlantic with two young boys in tow. Later in life, she devoted more than 30 years as the sole caretaker for her adult son, a testament to her strength, loyalty, and unshakeable heart.
Ila was sharp as a tack, full of grit and humor, and never one to tolerate nonsense. She loved throwing a baseball, baking the best pies, frying up the best chicken you've ever tasted, and staying active and independent until the very end. She was amazing, impressive, and everything a great Mammaw should be.
She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
