Ila Lundberg Obituary
1930 ~ 2025
St. George, UT-Ila Claire Stucki Lundberg died 12 November 2025 at her home in St. George, Utah. Born 20 December 1930 in St. George, Utah to Harvey Stucki and Anna Hilda Wittwer Stucki, she was the second of five children: Cleo Stucki Mathis (deceased), Harvey Bruce Stucki (deceased), John Wesley Stucki (Decatur, Texas), and Stephen Wittwer Stucki (deceased). Ila grew up in Santa Clara, Utah. She married Allen James "Jim" Lundberg on 31 May 1950 in the St. George Temple.
Ila is survived by her children: James Scott (Laurie Hymas) Lundberg, West Jordan, Utah; Max S. (Karen Miller) Lundberg, Sandy, Utah; Sally Jo (Danny) Mielke, Ivins, Utah; and John David (Debra Fiello) Lundberg, St. George, Utah; her brother, John Wesley Stucki; fifteen grandchildren; and forty-seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Interment will follow in the St. George City Cemetery located at 650 East Tabernacle Street.

Ila Clair - I´ll always remember her laughing with my mom on the deck outside sipping their Tab together. I could also look up to the stands from the swimming meets to see them sitting together supporting us. She was always interested in what I was doing. I always felt her love and kindness. What a wonderful lady. She will be missed. Praying you will be comforted by all the fond memories.

Dear Lundbergs, I grew up hearing of the exploits of Jim Lundberg as my parents were in the Lions Club. In my career as an investment advisor I was privileged to have Jim and Ila as clients and later as Ila's friends: Edna Mae Sampson, Uldene Norton, Nancy Cox and my mother, Maurine Miles would get together for luncheons sponsored by Lou Sampson and me. What a joy it was to listen to the same stories over and over. My favorite, the ill-fated plane ride with Jim @ the throttle, Milt Holt riding "shotgun" and the not nearly sedated enough mountain Lion. I will be out of town on December 27th but will think of you and your dear mother as you celebrate her life. Rick Miles
