Racine - Ileen Myrtle Kirchmeier, age 98, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024, at The Villa at Lincoln Park Nursing Home and Rehab.
Ileen was born on December 31, 1925. She was briefly employed at Western Printing before she was married to Russell J. Kirchmeier in Illinois. Russell preceded her in death on December 23, 1972.
Ileen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She appreciated working in her gardens. She also enjoyed baking, especially apple pie and cheesecake.
Ileen will be lovingly remembered by her grandson, Jared (Maggie) Pinkalla and great-granddaughter, Pinky Pinkalla; granddaughter, Rebecca (James Waschbisch) Pinkalla and great-granddaughters: Samantha Pinkalla, and Leigha Waschbisch; and other relatives, and friends.
Ileen was also preceded in death by her son, Steven Kirchmeier; and daughter, Sheila Pinkalla.
A service of committal will be held privately for the family at Calvary Cemetery in Racine.
