Mrs. Ilon Kerley Sexton, 88, of Harriman, passed away November 15, 2025. She was a loving wife and mother. Devoted to her husband Rev. Kelly Sexton of 40 years. She was a member of Mt. Vernal Baptist Church. Ilon retired from Roane Hosiery.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Kelly Sexton.
Parents: William Ernest and Mary Mae Kerley.
Five brothers: Ridley (Bud) Kerley, Roger Kerley, Ray Kerley, Gordon Kerley, and Toy Kerley.
Eight sisters: Anna Bess Kerley, Myrtle Webb, Arkie Dodson, Violet Payne, Syble McGaha, Willie Mae Coffman, Flossie Henry, and Lois Thacker.
Grandson: Jake Sexton.
She is survived by her three sons & daughters-in-law: Wayne & Karen Sexton, Darrell & Shelia Sexton, and Jeff & Ann Sexton.
Seven grandchildren: Kellie Beth Brewster & husband Chad, Andrew Sexton & wife Lindsey, Katie Price & husband Alex, Todd Sexton & wife Courtney, Mary Ann Sexton, Clay Sexton & wife Tara, Caleb Sexton & wife Beth, and Daniel Sexton.
Sixteen great grandchildren: Brady Brewster & wife Grace, Ben Brewster, Blake Brewster, Maleah Sexton, Lani Beth Sexton, Levi Sexton, Makenna Sexton Molly Crumley, Jaxson Price, Anna Sexton, Jay Sexton, Abel Sexton, Luke Sexton, Todd Sexton Jr., Rhett Sexton, and Rachael Sexton.
Great-great grandchild: Elewyn Grace Brewster.
Special brother-in-law: Gerald Henry.
Special niece: Lillie Newcomb.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family, friends, and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mt. Vernal Baptist Church in Westel. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Sexton and Bro. Caleb Sexton. The family and friends will meet Friday morning November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Roane Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
