Pearl Imogene Bressler, 85, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday November 7, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born on June 27, 1940, in Sublette, Kansas, to Paul and Mary Slocum, the third of seven kids.
Early on, Imogene was married to Gene Dethrow, and they moved from Hugoton, where she went to school, to Rolla. This union brought them their three children, Doug, Jimmy and Lesa.
Later, Imogene and Dallas Bressler were united in marriage; they enjoyed many happy years together. They enjoyed travel as well as hosting “get togethers” for friends and family, where much food and laughter were always present! They could always be counted on to attend every grandchild’s ballgame, performance or 4-H event.
Imogene was primarily a homemaker, well known for her hospitality, keeping an immaculate home that never failed a “white glove test” and her quick wit and sense of humor that endured to the end! She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. (And it was no secret that she was addicted to Hershey’s Golden Nuggets, Diet Coke, Lofthouse Sugar Cookies, Brown’s Shoe Store and casinos!)
Imogene is survived by her daughter Lesa Goucher (Monte) of Yukon, OK; her beloved granddaughters, Brittany Alexander (Justin) of Liberal, KS and CPT Kyleigh Harlow, US Army, currently stationed in Vicenza, Italy. Mimi, as she was lovingly called, is also survived by her three cherished great grandchildren, Hadlee, Macie and Brecken, of Liberal, KS, whom she loved more than “a bushel and a peck”! She loved spoiling all her grandchildren! Imogene is also survived by her siblings Pauline Nelson, Curtis Slocum, Duane Slocum and Karen Slocum, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who thought the world of her.
She is proceded in death by her sons Douglas (Doug) Eugene and James (Jimmy) Lee, as well as her beloved sister Marylou Peterson and brother George Slocum.
Viewing will be 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday Nov, 12, 2025.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday Nov, 12, 2025 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Bill Prater, officiating. Burial will follow at the Rolla Cemetery in Rolla, Kansas.
