Indie Jay Anderson, a bright light, and beloved daughter, was born on March 23, 2023, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Hannah Marcelle (Sharber) and Nicholas Jay Anderson. Indie passed away in Duncan, Oklahoma on August 30, 2025 at two years old. Though her time here was brief, Indie filled everyday with joy, laughter, and love. She adored playing with her big sister, Reese, and looked up to her in every way – already eager to follow in her footsteps and play wee ball. Indie loved coloring, skipping, and cuddling close with her family. She had a special fondness for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Bluey, and never turned down a good snack – especially her favorite yogurt melts. Indie's days were full of small adventures, from helping Cookie water flowers to picking blossoms with Nana. Her playful spirit shone through in her ornery smile and sweet little voice, especially when she told you "no" in the most endearing way. She was a teacher in her own light, showing everyone around her what it meant to be patient, to love deeply, and to smile even in the smallest of moments. Indie's beautiful smile, joyful laughter, and warm cuddles will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Though her life was far too short, Indie's impact was immeasurable. She will forever remain a treasured gift and a reminder of pure love. Indie is survived by her parents, Hannah and Nicholas "Jay" Anderson of the home, Big sister, Reese Layne Anderson; Grandparents, Nic and Holly Anderson of Foster, Oklahoma, Greg and Shelli Sharber of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Great-grandparents, Johnny Harrel of Foster, Oklahoma, Mary Whitener of Chouteau, Oklahoma; Uncles, Patrick Anderson and wife Bethany of Bethany, Oklahoma, Wyatt Sharber and Jonatan Gonzalez of Seattle, Washington, Christopher Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Beloved childcare provider, Emma Anderson; and a host of other friends and family. Indie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Charlene Harrel, Garyal Whitener, Clois and Linda Anderson, and Hoyle and Laura Sharber. Services for Indie will be on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Joe Terrell officiating. In honor of Indie the family is requesting everyone to wear their favorite bright colors, as this is a celebration of her life. Visitation for Indie will be on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and then family to accept friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City, Oklahoma.
