Inez Vasquez Obituary
The Vasquez Family is sad to announce the passing of Inez Vasquez, devoted daughter, loving mother, and dedicated sibling aged 73 of Houston, Texas on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Hilario Lyles Vasquez, her mother, Eva Garcia Vasquez and her brother, Isidro Vasquez. Inez is survived by her son, Shawn Vasquez along with his wife, Hiba Kerdy and daughters Theia Kerdy-Vasquez and Celine Kerdy-Vasquez, Inez’s granddaughters, as well as her siblings, sisters Betty Jane Rodriguez, Beatrice Lopez and Caroline Vasquez-Hurman and brother Robert Vasquez.
Inez taught math and French at Fort Stockton High School and invested herself completely in her students’ success. Her years teaching French created some of the most precious memories that she carried with her throughout her life.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 1:00PM – 5:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735. Rosary will be recited at 5:00PM Sunday, May 21, 2023, also at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held in Inez’s honor at 10:00AM on Monday, May 22, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 403 S. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735. Interment to follow funeral mass at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
