Inge hosted several private parties at her home, often on short notice. She was a great hostess and chef. One time she served 'poulet avec champignon au vin'. I commented that I had savored the dish and considered it as one of my all-time favorites and asked her for the recipe. She replied, "It's quite simple. Buy a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken, add two cans of cream of mushroom and two cups of white table wine, mix the ingredients and cook for 1 hour in the oven at a temperature of 350 degrees - and voila!" I replied, "Inge, you had us all fooled. You are an impostor and we all thought you were a world-class chef." To which she replied. "It's all in the taste and the sleight of hand."
