Ioannis "John" Konstantaras, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Sapphire Ridge Health & Rehab in Brevard, North Carolina. Born on March 19, 1949, in Limnos, Greece, John lived a life full of dedication, hard work, and love, leaving this world at the age of 76.

John's journey was one marked by his commitment to his craft and his unwavering spirit. For many years, he shared his culinary talents as a cook and baker at the New Colony Diner in Monroe, Connecticut. His passion for cooking was evident in every dish he prepared, earning him the love and appreciation of all who had the pleasure of tasting his creations.

Beyond his professional life, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his incredible work ethic, often working six days in a row with a smile. In his leisure time, John enjoyed the camaraderie and strategy of billiards and the friendly competition of bowling. These interests reflected his love for community and his playful spirit.

John was preceded in death by his loving parents, Haralambos and Andromahi Konstantaras, and his sister, Stavroula Kaoni. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his surviving family: his son, John Konstantaras, and his wife, Kimberley Wood; his step-grandson, Mitchell Cohen; his brother, Ethemios Konstantaras; his sister, Maria Dermitzian; and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services are planned. Those who knew John will remember him for his kindness, his dedication, and his infectious enthusiasm for life. He touched the lives of many through his work and his generous spirit, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
