Ioma J. Galant, 83, beloved wife of Edward Galant, on Wednesday, June 4 th, 2025, at her home.
Predeceased by her son Sean, son-in-law, Phil Pappas, parents Edward and Ioma Watton,
siblings Terry, Billy, Dolores, and Danny. Survived by her loving daughter Lisa (Jim),
grandchildren Kelsey (Zack), Carleigh (Aaron), Grace (Paul), and Ben. Also survived by two
loving sisters, Patricia (Fran), and Roberta (William, deceased), and one brother Ronnie.
After her wedding to Ed, they jetted off to see the world. They lived in Taiwan, Libya, Malaysia,
Cyprus, and Peru. Some of these posts weren't all that grand, as evidenced by sifting weevils
out of flour. They welcomed two children into the world, Lisa and Sean. Her pride and joy were
her granddaughters Kelsey and Carleigh and she so enjoyed taking care of them when Lisa and
Phil were working. Her family grew when Kelsey and Carleigh got married and gained two
grandsons-in-law, Zack and Aaron. When Lisa remarried, she welcomed two bonus
grandchildren into her life, Grace and Ben.
Ioma loved to thrift and she never met a thrift store or yard sale that she didn't find something,
even if she didn't need it. Son-in-law Jim introduced her to estate sales and she loved that as
well. She was a kind, gentle woman, a little spicy when she wanted to be, and quick to offer her
opinion, whether you wanted it or not.
Ed was the love of her life, during their 64 years of marriage they enjoyed traveling together,
and dancing. You could always see the love in their eyes when they were dancing together.
She will be missed by so many, we didn't have enough time.
