Ione Hill Obituary
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Forest Hill Cemetery – Garden of Memories Chapel, 631 Spring St, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494. Deacon Jon Anderson will officiate.
Celebration of Life and Memorial Mass will be at St. Mary's, 9520 West Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 29. Visitation at 10:00 with Mass at 11:00.
Ione was born May 29, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Casper and Ethel (Spors) Searing. She married Rex Jay Hill on February 25, 1974. Following their retirement, Rex and Ione moved to Quincy in Adams County and later they moved to their home on Lake Sherwood in Rome, Wisconsin.
Ione is survived by her 3 sisters Carol (Mike) Prosser, Ellen (Tony) Zarcone, and Eileen (Bill) Schalk,
Her daughter-in-law, Judy Hill, 12 grandchildren (11 living, 1 deceased), 30 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Ione moved into Silverado Memory Care in 2018 which later was bought by Auberge. The family would like to thank the staff of both Silverado and Auberge for their compassionate care especially Leann who has been with Ione since the beginning. The family would also like to thank Lily Hospice for their care of Ione in the last month.
Memorials maybe directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice in Ione's memory.
