Mrs. Ira Bell Goodwin, went to be with the Lord at her home in Day, Florida on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of 100 years old.

Ira was born, October 31, 1925, to her parents, Henry and Eliza Singletary Bell in Day, Florida. She was the last surviving charter member of Bethel Creek Baptist Church. She married her loving husband, Carl K. Goodwin, on June 10, 1949. Ira was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cooking and reading. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl K. Goodwin; her parents Henry Bell and Eliza Singletary Bell; her siblings Ada Harris, Lena Purvis, Lois Horne, Oliver Bell, Herbert Bell, Myrtle Snipes, John Henry Bell and an infant baby brother.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryle Warner (Jim), of Day, Candace McKinney (John) of Branford, and Kay Templin (Marty) of Day; 6 Grandchildren Ann Hoskins, Scott Warner, Carissa Pepera (Tom), Carl McKinney, Danielle McGrew (Jayce) and Joshua Templin (Emily); 9 Great grandchildren Serena (Chris), Ashley (Frank), Jonathan (Laura), Chris, Andrew, Nick, Sarah, Jaycen, and Tiffany; and 4 Great-great grandchildren Chloe, Audrey, Kinsley and Hunter. As well as many nieces and nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services will take place Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 2:00pm, at Bethel Creek Baptist Church, 8945 County Rd 53, Mayo, Florida 32066. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, at Bethel Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
