I am one of the many math teachers she helped mold. Her smile kept my nerves at bay as a 2nd year teacher. I´ve always viewed her as a mentor/auntie. Her saying "sweetie" will forever echo in my head and I have used the word for decades since I met her. After she retired, I looked forward to seeing her sing during the ML King celebration each January.

My condolences to her family and friends and am forever grateful for her influence on my teaching career.

My sincerest condolences to the family. She was a sweetheart. Always poised polite and a sharp dresser. Her corrections were respectful and given to make you a better person inside and out.
I had just told my friend last week I needed to find her number and surprise her with a call. She will be missed. May God bless and keep you all.

Ms. Bowden was one of my favorite teachers. Even after going to college I would come back just to visit and talk with her. As an adult I saw her on several different occasions while she was either visiting her sister or doing volunteer work. Ms. Bowden truly had a sweet, sweet spirit. May her family find comfort in all of the moments you shared, and all of the minds and lives she shaped. Rest well Ms. Bowden
