Born in Gardner on June 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Pauline (Kenesyte) Misevich. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1947, and from Becker Junior College in 1949. She was previously employed by Worcester County National Bank where she was affectionately known as the “Lady in the Walkup Window.” Irene was the proud owner and operator of Stanley’s Lunch on Pleasant Street for many years where she and her family served Lithuanian, Polish, and other ethnic cuisines.

She was a lifelong member of the Lithuanian Outing Association. Besides Stanley’s, her family was her pride and joy, treasuring all the times spent together.

Irene is survived by her son, Michael S. Piontek of Gardner, and her cousins, Birute Syvret and John Manstavich, both of Montreal.

She was predeceased by her son, Thomas J. Piontek, who died in 2005.
