Irene Theobold Obituary
Irene was born in West Virginia but grew up in Ohio. She married John Samuel Ramsay and moved to Denver in 1949. In 1985 they moved to Grand Junction where they made their home. In 1995 she married Clyde Theobold until he passed away 12 years later.
Irene was a beautician. a seamstress, an artist, and an active member of the Cross Roads Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, traveling, square-dancing, bowling, water aerobics, hiking, cross-country skiing and volunteer work.
Irene brought immeasurable joy into the lives of all she met with her kind heart, quiet smile and boundless love.
She is survived by her son John Stewart Ramsay(Janet Ramsay), three grandsons, Adam (Amanda), Rory (Elizabeth) and Daniel (Kate) and seven great-grandchildren.
Plans are to bury her ashes in the GJ Veterans cemetary next to her husband, John S. Ramsay. A Remembrance gathering may be scheduled at a later date.
Please make donations in Irene's name to Western Colorado Botanical Gardens in Grand Junction.
