Irene Wallum Obituary

Irene was born on August 8, 1941, in Queens, NY. She was married to Robert Van Brunt Sr for 19 years before his passing in 1980. They were happily married, living in Union before moving to Succasunna in 1978. In 1988 Irene found love again and married Harry Wallum Jr. They remained in Succasunna until his passing in 2007. In 2008 to be closer to her mother and sister she moved to Myrtle Beach.
Irene was an avid fan of the NJ Devils hockey team, having season tickets and owning a "Devil's Lady" jersey. Irene also loved to travel and in her later years enjoyed gambling on the boats in South Carolina.
Irene made a lasting impact on everyone she knew, had a generous nature, and will be sincerely missed.
Irene is predeceased by her first husband, Robert Van Brunt Sr, her second husband Harold Wallum Jr, her parents Irene and Richard Kubasch, and her brother Charles "Chuck" Fambach. Irene is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Robert Callahan of Myrtle Beach, SC; her sister-in-law Lil Fambach of Clayton, DE; her brother Robert "Bobby" Kubasch, his wife Sandy of Bowling Green, KY; and her nieces, Jen, Rebekah and Rachel, their spouses and children. And by her loving son and daughter-in-law Robert and Robin Van Brunt and granddaughter Sydney Van Brunt of Sparta, NJ, and many cousins.
Irene's final wish was to be cremated with a funeral mass, which will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Wallum is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011.

I am saddened with the loss of Irene... she was a dear friend and part of my Bible Study group in Myrtle Beach for eight years.
She was a faith filled woman and had a deep love of God...
Her church was an important part of her life ... and she lived her faith as she reached out to others as one of Jesus´ faithful disciples.
She will be missed...
How special that she went to Heaven on December 24th ...
so that she could spend Christmas with Jesus.
