Iris J. Morris departed this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her residence.
She was proceeded in death by her son, Elbert Leon Andrews Sr., Father, Adam Watts, Mother, Scottie Watts, and sister, Eleanor Butler.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Daughter, Pastor Constance Wright (Hugh); Granddaughters LoLita Spears (Steve), and Charntel Campbell (Rhoshon); Grandson, Elbert Leon Andrews, Jr. (Suevette); Great Grandchildren, Hugh Wright, III “Tray”, Caleb Spinner, and Isaiah Campbell; Great Great Grandchildren, Mariah Wright, and Cynia Spinner. A host of Nieces and Nephews and other relatives and friends.
Iris was a devoted member of Holcomb Rock Baptist Church until her health began to fail. She served as president of missionary Circle, superintendent of Sunday school, and usher in usher ministry. Whatever God placed upon her hands, she gave it 100% and did it with a smile that lifted up the heart of others.
The family wants to give special thanks to all her caregivers and Centra Health hospice team.
A Memorial service will be Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church at 1 PM.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
