I couldn´t think of the right thing to share until tonight.

Marisol finished picking up her toys, and came and sat in my lap. She said, "Mommy, are you better now?" I asked what she meant, and she said, "About your grandma, are you better now?" I didn´t know what to say, I wasn´t expecting a question like that from my three year old. She cupped my face and kissed my cheek, just like grandma used to, and said, "It´s okay mommy, I´m here for you. Your grandma´s okay. Can you tell me about her?"

I spent the next 30 minutes sharing stories, promising more. Marisol thanked me, then asked one final question: did she ever get a hug from Grandma Iris? Yes, baby girl, and she would´ve given you more if time allowed.
