Iris Carolyn Parker

Iris Carolyn Parker, a beloved mother, community leader, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on August 21, 1948, in Madison, Florida, and spent her life in the loving town of Perry, Florida.
Iris was a woman of remarkable strength and independence. As a proud mother to her children Andy and Jayne, she served as a constant source of love, encouragement, and wisdom. Iris was also a dedicated administrative assistant in the funeral industry, where her compassionate spirit and unwavering professionalism touched the lives of countless families navigating difficult times.
A long-time resident of Perry, Iris epitomized the spirit of community engagement. She served for many years as President of the Perry Woman's Club, where she empowered others and fostered a sense of camaraderie among its members. Her commitment to her church was evident as she served faithfully, inspiring many with her unwavering faith and dedication.
Iris was passionate about life and embraced every opportunity to travel, creating memories along the way that she cherished dearly. Her vibrant personality and genuine kindness made her truly beautiful inside and out, leaving a lasting mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her two children Andy and Jayne McCall, two grandchildren August Craven and Grayson McCall, and three great grandchildren Jaxon Craven, Maddux Craven, and Adeline Craven.
In celebration of Iris's life, family and friends will gather for a graveside service on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:00 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Shady Grove, FL. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry.
Iris leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and community service that will continue to inspire those she touched. She will be laid to rest with dignity, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
