Iris Peterson, 90 of Anderson, passed away May 2, 2019 at her residence. Iris was born November 28, 1928, in Noblesville the daughter of the late Charles and Etta Gray. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anderson, where she had served on the Christian Education Board, the Mission Board and the Diaconate Board. Iris is survived by her two children, Nicholas (Beth) Waymire and Vicki (Gary) Martini; six grandchildren, David Thacker, Chris Thacker, Tony Martini, Adam Waymire, Ryan Waymire and Mark Waymire; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Peterson. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Cematory. Entombment will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dear Nick and Vicki,

I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I remember her fondly when Nick and I hung out together in high school. She was always kind to me. Again, so sorry for your loss.
