Irma Morrill Obituary
She was born in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Ira McClain and Willie Mae Wise McClain, and was a 1956 graduate of Glynn Academy High School. She retired from AT&T as a telephone operator after 30 years of service. Following her retirement, she taught for a number of years at Brunswick Christian Academy and later worked alongside her father delivering newspapers for The Brunswick News. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund N. Morrill; a brother, Ira Gene McClain (wife, Zanna); and a sister, Ann Carlyle McClain.
She is survived by two brothers, Larry G. McClain (wife, Kay) of Waycross and James W. McClain of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Irma's friends, Bill and Gloria Haskins of Brunswick, for their friendship and support through the years.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Chapel Park Cemetery in Brunswick.
