BRISTOL
Irma (Gaudet) Saulnier, 96, of Bristol, widow of Alcide Saulnier, went to be with Jesus on Thursday (November 6, 2025). She was a resident of Ingraham Manor at that time. Irma was born on April 27, 1929, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and was a daughter of the late Alexander and Henrietta (LeBlanc) Gaudet. She was raised and attended school in Canada before immigrating to the United States and settling in Bristol in 1952. Irma worked for Superior Electric for 28 years before her retirement and then later went on to work for Rowley Spring until she was 85 years old. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish devoted to St. Ann Church, Bristol. Irma was an amazing person! She loved to stay active and had a strong spirit. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, skiing, and annual family travel to New Brunswick, where many of her siblings and their families still resided.
She would be remembered fondly for her great love of music and laughter! Irma was always very generous, especially to her family. She
was a woman of strong faith and supported her church as well as various charities. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and she loved watching UConn Women's Basketball. Irma is survived by two children: David Saulnier and wife, Arnette of South Carolina and Gisele Reyngoudt and husband, Ed of Wethersfield; She was a loving memere to grandson Daniel Saulnier and wife, Erin and to granddaughter, Ashley
Gomez; and one great-grandson: Chase. She is also survived by a sister: Theresa Saulnier of New Brunswick, Canada; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings: Alcide, Ernest and Omer Gaudet, Edna Richard, Rita Gaudet and Jeanne Legere. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Irma's caregivers, Mandy Andros and Trish Agosto, for their kind care and compassion. She loved them both. Thank you to the staff at Ingraham Manor who cared for her; especially Laura, and thank you to the Bristol Hospital Hospice team for their warm compassion and empathy during the past 10 months. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (November 18, 2025) at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
