Irvin P. Gable

1954 - 2026

Irvin P. Gable, 72, of Mercer, formerly of Mars, passed away Sunday evening, March 29, 2026, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital, with his family at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 27, 1954, he was the son of the late Irvin and Sara Phelps Gable.
Irv was the owner of Pioneer Service and Supply in Mars.
He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church and most recently attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in Mercer.
Irv enjoyed many long distance and local rides on his Harley. He loved taking his grandkids to his farm, but most important to him was time spent with his family. They are his legacy.
Surviving are three daughters, Colleen McKinney and her husband, Jake, of Cranberry Township, Dr. Michelle Gable and her husband, Dr. John Cremin, of Wexford, and Katie Gable, of Mercer; two sons, Irvin Gable and his wife, Jennifer, of Worthington, and Ricky Gable and his wife, Jessica, of Mars; and his beloved grandchildren, Luke, Dean, Neil, Kelly, Miles, Clara, Lily, Charlie, Maggie and Grace.
GABLE - Friends of Irvin P. Gable, who died Sunday, March 29, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. There will be no calling hours on Easter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 6, at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
