Isaac Crumpton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colvin Funeral Home and Crematory - Fayetteville on Sep. 30, 2025.
Isaac E. Crumpton, Sr., son of the late Charles Taft Crumpton and Verna Jackson, was born on JUly 22, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life on September 23, 2025, after a lengthy illness. He received his early education in Brooklyn, New York, where he attended Sheepshead Bay High School in the mid-1970s. After relocating with his family to North Carolina, he attended Magnolia High School, where he also enjoyed playing basketball, one of his favorite pastimes as a young man. He later earned his General Education Diploma and furthered his education at Fayetteville Technical Community College and Mid-Florida Tech. Isaac worked as a Tire Builder at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company (formerly Kelly-Springfield Tire Company) for 12 years until his health began to decline in 1997. He was also employed with the Department of Defense as Technical Support at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, repairing typewriters in the early 1980s. A true craftsman, Isaac loved to work with his hands - whether as a car mechanic, repairing machines, fixing typewriters, or tackling any project that challenged his skills. Later in life, Isaac faithfully attended St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, where he found strength, fellowship, and encouragement in his walk with the Lord. Isaac was preceded in death by his father, Charles Taft Crumpton; his mother, Verna Jackson; his brother, Charles V. Crumpton; and his sister, Betty Alexander. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Yolonda Crumpton; his son, Isaac C. Crumpton, Jr.; his daughter, Angela Crumpton; grandchildren, Noah and Christina; former wife and devoted friend, Vickie Martin; brother, Norman Jackson; sister, Patricia Fitzgerald; sister, Debroah McMillian; brother, Barry (Rose) Crumpton; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
