Isaac Dorn

February 2, 1940 - October 5, 2025

Isaac Dorn, Sergeant Major, US Army, Ret., of Ft. Washington, Md. and formerly of Atlantic City, departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2025 in Maryland. Born in Abbeville, S.C., he came to Atlantic City at the age of three with his family. He was raised here and attended the local public schools.

Drafted into the US Army in 1963, he served faithfully, progressing through the ranks. His last assignment was as Sergeant Major, International Headquarters and Support Command, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in June 1989.

Surviving are his wife, Jeannie; two children, Gregory and Lisa; a grandson, Devin; brothers, John and Gene Dorn (Susan); a sister, Barbara Dorn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Second Baptist Church, 110 Rev. Dr. I.S. Cole Plaza, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 12 p.m.

Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
