Mr. Isaac David Howell

Isaac David Howell, age 82, passed peacefully on January 11, 2010. He was born on November 16, 1927, in Big Rock, Stewart County, Tennessee. He was raised on the family farm. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agriculture from the University of Tennessee. He served in the United States Army as part of the occupation forces in Italy after World War II. He spent his career operating the farm and working for the Soil Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a man of faith, wisdom, quiet strength and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Howell, parents Oliver and Ethleen Howell, sister Lucille Demos, and brother William D. Howell. He is survived by sister Louise Howell; sons and daughters-in law Donald and Linda Howell, Charles and Elaine Howell, Brent and Kellie Howell, eight grandchildren and one great grandson. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to the Net Youth Ministry, Fountain City United Methodist Church, 212 Hotel Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37918.
