Isabel Anderson, age 89, passed away August 12th at her residence. She was born June 9, 1935 in Puerto Rico to Bartolo Garcia and Eulalia Melendez. Isabel devoted her life to her husband and children. She was a homemaker and caretaker, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Isabel had a deep faith in God. She was a member of the Sun Valley Baptist Church.
Isabel is survived by three children: Elly Luke, John (Tracy), and Keith (Michelle); nine siblings: Mody, Geno, Bartolo, Carmen, Jorge, Luis, Orlando, Francisca, Milagros. two sisters in law: Geraldine Plater and Lou Ann Davis; ten grandchildren: Jera (Bea), Christopher, Jennifer, Johnathon (Ruth), Kristen, Katelyn, Kameo, Krimson, Kayla, Idina; and one great-granddaughter: Demi.
Isabel was married for 57 years prior to the passing of her husband, Andy. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: an infant, Julia, and Felicita. She will be missed dearly by family and loved ones.
A visitation will be held from 9-10am on August 21th at Sunset Funeral Home at 4631 Hondo Pass Drive in El Paso. There will be a funeral service celebrating Isabel’s life at 10am. Burial will follow at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
