Isabel Padilla, age 97, passed peacefully, Thursday, March 9, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. She is remembered as an incredible, strong woman with a big personality who loved to laugh and make others laugh. Isabel is preceded in death by her husband; Eduardo Padilla, her parents; Carlos Martinez and Carmen Tellez, as well as her children; Eduardo Alonso Padilla, Rene Padilla, and Jesus Padilla. She is survived by her children; Armida Garay, Georgina Lightbourn, Jamie Padilla, and Cristina Perez, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory. Please join us to remember and celebrate her joyous life.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Friday, March 17, 2023 with a Rosary to commence at 7:00pm, at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Roger Bacon Seminary, 2400 Marr Street.
