Ismael Lorenzo Estrella Galang

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Ismael "Mel" Lorenzo E. Galang, a man whose laughter, music, and kindness touched everyone he met. He was born on May 13, 1962, in Manila, Philippines, and entered eternal rest on October 27, 2025, at his lovely home in Desert Hot Springs, California at the age of 63. Mel was best known for his joyful spirit, deep faith, and passion for music. As a choir music director for four years, he was firm and disciplined, but always warm, kind, and generous. He found joy in the simple things - spending time with family and friends, sharing new recipes he found on Tiktok, and capturing moments through his famous selfies. Whether he was posting a cheerful update on Facebook or playing a new tune on the piano, he had a way of connecting with those around him and spreading happiness wherever he went. It is his infectious joy and love that we now carry with us, and will continue to share with others in his loving memory.
