Ivan Chubb Obituary

He was born on February ,22nd, 1939 in Clinton, Indiana to Ivan Eugene Chubb and Virginia Maxine Craig.
Ivan was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Nola Lyn Mattioda. He had seven children and stepchildren, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ivan was a IBEW electrician,
Millwright, and pipe fitter.
His friends called him "Chubby", professionally he was known as the guy who could fix it and make it run.
He was a member of several Masonic Lodges, the Scottish Rite (KCCH), York Rite, Eastern Star , and the Shrine Club.
He was a supporter of the local youth group De Molay.
Ivan was commander of the AMVETS, American Legion, and VFW.
He spent much of his time with the Marine Corps League supporting veterans.
He was active and involved in the community, and a supporter the Indian Foundation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Veterans organization.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please contact the family for details.

It was an honor to know Ivan as a volunteer at Gainesville VA and then to have prayer with him in Lake City VA. Blessings to all the family during this time.
