Ivan Thomas Aguon Taitano, born on October 12, 1974, in Tamuning, Guam, passed away on June 17, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 50.
A proud son of Guam, Ivan embodied the island’s enduring spirit - resilient, generous, and deeply rooted in family and tradition. His kindness and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Above all, he loved his children and continues to live on in their hearts.
Ivan is survived by his beloved children: Devon Taitano, Kalani Chavez-Taitano, and Benjamin Falcon and his wife, Gianna, and their daughter Leilani—Ivan’s cherished granddaughter. He also leaves behind his mother, Lolita Taitano, and his partner, Jennifer Aguon, and her children and grandchildren. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Rodney Taitano, James Taitano and his wife, Karen of San Antonio, Texas, Joseph Taitano, Bobbie Taitano, Cecilia Guerrero, Marie Lynn Iriarte of Guam, and Louise Atalig of Guam.
Ivan was preceded in death by his father, Jose Taitano, his brother, James Aquininog of Guam, and his sisters, Emily Pangelinan and Florence Cruz. He’ll be deeply missed by a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, whose lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and unwavering love.
Though his time here was brief, Ivan’s legacy endures in the love he shared with the family he cherished.
