In cherished memory, we gather to celebrate the life of Ivory Joe Haynes, who graced this world from June 1, 1959, until his departure on October 7, 2025. Born and raised in the heart of Dallas, Texas, Ivory was a vibrant soul whose jovial spirit lit up every room he entered, earning the affection of all who had the privilege to know him.
A devoted husband to Thelma Haynes for an incredible 44 years, Ivory was not just a partner but a steadfast friend, a confidant, and the very embodiment of love and commitment. His family was his kingdom, and he ruled it with strength and warmth, dedicated to raising a family filled with dignity and respect. As a loving father and grandfather, he created a legacy of cherished memories, with joyous laughter echoing through the walls of their home.
Ivory was a man of many passions, with interests that painted the canvas of his life. He was as much at home on the barbecue grill, whipping up mouthwatering steaks and BBQ as he was immersed in the thrill of watching the Dallas Cowboys soar on screen. His love for the game was only rivaled by his penchant for playing dominoes, where both friends and family would gather around tables, sharing stories and laughter amid competitive spirit. Ivory's hands were often found lovingly working on his trucks, a testament to his resourcefulness and dedication to the things he cherished.
Known for being a jokester, Ivory's personality shone brightly. He was a man beloved by all, effortlessly making connections and forging friendships wherever he roamed, never meeting a stranger. His profound love for people left an indelible mark, reminding us all of the beauty of human connection.
As we come together to mourn the loss of Ivory Joe Haynes, let us also remember the laughter and love he shared. His spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of his family, a gentle reminder to carry forward the lessons of joy, love, and laughter that he instilled in each and every one of us.
