Ivy Dewayne Eaves

Funeral services for Mr. Ivy Dewayne Eaves will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Calcasieu Baptist Church, Union Hill, with Reverend John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Eaves, 77, of Union Hill, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in his residence.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved being outdoors and tending to his farm. He liked old westerns and was a big John Wayne fan. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch, visiting with his friends, and a good cup of coffee. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Marie Eaves; one daughter, Dennine Sparks; his parents, Gervus and Ferral Elizabeth Eaves; and one brother, Robert Eaves.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include two sons, Stuart Eaves of Hineston, and Keith Ray (Natalie) of West Lake; one daughter, Misty Eaves of Union Hill; one brother, Tommy Eaves (Wanda) of Florida; three grandsons, Ryan Dupuy, Devin Ray, and Joseph Reed; five granddaughters, Ivy Nicole Renfro, Candace Garrison, Kayla Ray, Lelia Biddle, and Izabella Henson; and seven great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Calcasieu Baptist Church, Union Hill, on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Terry Eaves, Stuart Eaves, Ricky Cloud, Cody Cloud, David Johnson, and Mark Reed.
