Izabella Rodriguez Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 6, 2024.
Izabella Bleu Rodriguez, known to those who adored her as Bella, embraced the world with her infectious laughter and left it with a legacy of love on August 1st, 2024. Born on a sunny day in Fredericksburg, Texas, on October 17th, 2000, Bella was a burst of creative energy that danced through life with kindness in her heart and paint on her hands. Growing up, Bella was the wildflower in a family garden of love. Her mom, Keianne Pounds, and stepmom, Ruby Martin, cultivated her adventurous spirit, while her late dad, Victor M. Rodriguez, watched over her with a proud smile from the stars. Alongside her siblings-Caleb Pounds, Jayce Pemberton, Carrie Baird, Christine Rodriguez, and Mia Martinez-Bella's life was a canvas of chaotic beauty and vibrant bonds. Her grandparents, Juanita and Charles (Pete) Pounds, and great grandmother, Mary Jo Moore, were the roots that grounded her and allowed her spirit to soar. Bella's most special friend, Mark Brower, could attest that she was the kind of person who found humor in the everyday. As she would often quote the legendary Robin Williams, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." And lose it she never did, lighting up rooms and warming hearts with her spark. Though she was just about to dive into her college adventure this fall, planning to study art and business, Bella's true masterpiece was the way she poured her soul into her relationships. Her work history may not have been long, but if there were a resume for love, hers would be extensive. She taught us all that the biggest achievement in life is to love and be loved in return. Bella's interests were as colorful as her personality. From scouring estate sales with her mom for hidden treasures to being the ultimate cat mom to her two beloved felines, she lived every moment with a sense of wonder. She saw life not for its flaws but for its potential, a quality that made her both an exceptional human and a terrible critic of bad art. To say Bella was kind, adventurous, and creative doesn't quite cover the expanse of her spirit. She was the kind of person who would bring you a painting when you were sad, not because it would necessarily cheer you up, but because she believed a little bit of color could make any situation better. In an age where everyone seems to take themselves too seriously, Bella danced to the beat of her own drum-or paintbrush, as it were. She lived by the philosophy that if you couldn't laugh at life, you were doing it wrong. As the great Bill Murray once said, "The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything: the better you are with your loved ones, the better you are with your enemies, the better you are at your job, the better you are with yourself." Bella passed away in San Angelo, Texas, but the echo of her laughter and the strokes of her kindness paint the memories of those she left behind. She was a living testament to the idea that life doesn't have to be serious to be profound. As we remember Izabella Bleu Rodriguez, let us not dwell on the silence of her absence but instead celebrate the symphony of joy she composed with her life. She would want us to laugh, to create, and most of all, to keep that spark of madness alive within us all. So here's to Bella-a life beautifully lived, a soul forever cherished, and a story that will always inspire a smile.

My first memory of her was as a 3 year old. I was on a call with her mother and in the background I could hear this loud happy child in the background. Her mother's face would light up because she was just playing and having a good time. That's what I remember the joy she brought to her mother.
