Dear Eidels, I was looking on the internet for Jim's address and came across this news of his passing. I am sorry that I did not connect with him sooner. I worked for Jim all his years at the Illinois State Geological Survey/University of Illinois. I was always impressed by his honesty and enthusiasm. I'm sure he continued to express these qualities in his retirement. Best regards.

Dear Alicia, Marc, and Eve... So sorry to hear of Jim´s recent passing. Age difference and other logistics kept us from being closer then we were. While that was unfortunate, he leaves a tremendous legacy. One that is to be truly admired. I envy the extra years he was able to spend with our dad. So much he was able to learn.... I hope you´re all doing well. God bless

Prayers are being sent from the Dobler branch of the Eidel family. I'm glad that I was able to speak with Jimmy during the last year and share family pictures with him and wife Alicia. My father Ron Dobler always enjoyed talking with his cousin Jimmy - they are together again. God bless.
