JV Phillips was the third son born to JC Phillips and Emma L Johnson on June 26, 1933 in Heidenheimer, tx. He attended Dunbar Meredith public school in temple,tx. In April 1 1953, he joined the United States army and later had an honorable discharge. Later he worked for the VA hospital doing all manner of jobs from electrical to wherever they needed him.

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, his father, mother, two brothers JB Polk, MC Phillips both of Houston, TX.
The walk of life ended for JV Phillips on December 30th at Baylor S&W Memorial hospital.
His home going leaves behind His wife of 46yrs Dorine Phillips, host of Children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grand children, family, and friends.
