I did not know him well at all but through his sister Ms. Sylvia Flynn. May God comfort her deep loss.

I realized when Reid was a young operator at Amoco that he was cut from a different cloth. I just wish I had kept up with him. He probably didn't realize I shared his belief system.

So very saddened to learn of Reid's passing, many heartfelt condolences to his
wife and family. I can still see that twinkle in his eye's, and so many good memories from happy day's on Sullivan's Island. God bless you Reid.

My thoughts are with you, Lynn. I didn't know Reid that well, but probably thought of him more often, because I received mail for him at 102. I did know he was a political activist and one of the "good" ones.

With memories of the childhood years and family love, my heart goes out to Mom, Dad, and Sylvia, my friend. I am so very sorry. Though I only knew him as a boy, it is heartwarming to learn of the joy he brought to others throughout his life; heartbreaking to learn of his passing.

I was fortunate to serve with Reid on the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission many years ago. He was passionate about his public service, and always wanted to do what was in the best interest of the citizens of Charleston County. Reid had a unique perspective on life, and made many valuable contributions to the county park system thru his service on the commission.

You will be sorely missed but I have no doubt that your friends and family will keep your memory alive for years to come.

Reid was honest, loyal, smart, hilarious and totally in love with Lynn. The planet is less for the loss of him. I would beg him not to be so honest with me but he couldn't not say the truth. I will miss him. his wicked smile and the belly laughs he gave me. Lynn was the best thing that ever happened to him and he would be the first to say so. I love you Reid. Thank you Lynn for being the best wife, the best friend and the best champion for Reid. We all owe you a lot.

I am grateful for the time I got to spend with Reid and I am so sorry that we can't be present with him any longer. Reid's philosophy, his sense of justice, and the tough exterior that covered his big heart are what I'll remember about him.

I know Reid and BZ are catching up in heaven. To Reid's family, I am sorry for your loss. Reid was a good guy, and fun to work with.
