St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Notre Dame Catholic Church honoring the life of Jace Malakai James Miller, age 2, who passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Lafayette.
A visitation will take place at Notre Dame on Saturday from 7:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Saturday morning.
Fr. Marvin Gyasie S.V.D. will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
He is survived by his father, Martin Miller, Jr.; mother, Jordan Landry; sister due in December, Maylee Jace Marie Miller; brother, Zeus "Agent Z"; maternal grandfather, Darrell Ford, Jr. maternal grandmother, Adrienne Landry; paternal grandfather, Martin Miller, Sr. (Precious); paternal grandmother, Alicia Ledet (Daniel); maternal great-grandparents, Lovenia Landry (Warren), Nelson Landry (Donna), Darrell Ford, Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, Lillie Ledet and Joseph Hypolite; maternal great-great-grandmother, Verdna Porter Charles; aunts, Sydney Landry, Tyler Landry, Tamia "The Mimi" Carter, Taylor Ford, Aaliyah Miller, Marnesha Miller and Jasmine Ledet; uncles, Elijah "Uncle E" Turner; Karrell Ford, Dakyric Lee and Da'Trayvion Lee; great-aunt-nanny, Tammie Landry; cousins, Ta'Kaevin, Kenlin, Ta'Karrie, Kemrie and Lailanie Landry, Amir Jace Siner and Ya'Lanni Blanco; godparents, Hannah Champagne and Ta'Kaevin Landry; and a host of great-aunts and uncles, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Deborah Harris Stringer; maternal great-great-grandparents, Eula Francis Landry and Hypolite Landry, Every "Cocoon" Charles and Corine Tyner; paternal great-grandfather, Martin Phillips; and paternal great-great-grandparents, Wilbert Ledet, Sr. and Mildred Charles Ledet and Yolanda Hypolite and Curley Hypolite.
Pallbearers will be Ta'Kaevin Landry, Ta'Karrie Landry, Kenlin Landry, Kemrie Landry, Dakyric Lee, and Da'Trayvion Lee.
