Jacinth De Luz Jr.

Mr. Jacinth De Luz, Jr. 85, of Waimea, Hawaii, died October 30, 2025, at his residence. Born in Waimea on October 30, 1940, he retired from C. Brewer & Company and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. An avid outdoorsman, he spent his early years hunting and later fishing and ranching. His strong carpentry skills were used to building homes throughout his life. He is survived by sons, Jacinth (Yumi) De Luz, III of Waikoloa, Jason (Melita) De Luz of Ahualoa, Jerome (Joe Sweeney) De Luz of Portland, OR, James (Bernadette) De Luz of Waikoloa, and Jedfrey (Ryan Johannesen) De Luz of San Francisco, CA; daughter, Lindy (Ed) Guerrero of Waimea; sisters, Betty De Luz of Honokaa and Rose Hatakeyama of Waimea; brother-in-law, Wardell Young of Waimea and sister-in-law, Beverly Young of Kukuihaele; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be announced at a future date.
