Jacinto Rafael Torres, affectionately known as "Chinto," passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in his hometown of Watsonville, CA. He was a devoted father and partner, survived by his cherished partner Annette Acosta and his children.
Born and raised in Watsonville, Chinto was a true local through and through. He lived his entire life in the community he loved, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a proud supporter of the Oakland Raiders, passionately cheering for his team through every triumph and challenge. His love for soccer was equally fervent, finding joy in the beautiful game and sharing that enthusiasm with others.
Chinto had a zest for life that was infectious. He found immense pleasure in the simple joys, particularly when gathered around a barbecue with family and friends, or casting a line while fishing. His appreciation for lowrider cars was evident, admiring their unique craftsmanship and style. He embraced the outdoors, relishing in camping trips that allowed him to connect with nature.
A man of diverse interests, Chinto had a genuine love for all types of experiences. His adventurous spirit and warm heart endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
A celebration of Chinto's life will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on April 19, 2024 starting at 11:00am, where family and friends will come together to honor his memory, share stories, and find solace in each other's company.
